- Friends of Community School, Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF), and Liz Brown gathered at Community School's Ketchum Campus on March 21 to name the facility in memory of Liz's late husband, Rufus M. Brown
- Natives of New Orleans, Louisiana, Liz and Rufus moved to the Wood River Valley in 1996
- Rufus was a former Board Chair of SVSEF and an early supporter of the Sun Valley Ski Academy (SVSA
- Rufus passed away on June 3 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer
- Liz led an effort to create a lasting legacy for Rufus by garnering transformative support for the Campaign for the Ketchum Campus
- Head of School Ben Pettit expressed gratitude towards Liz Brown and those who chose to honor Rufus in this meaningful way
- The long term impact of gifts made to honor Rufus will have positive effects on lives of young people and vitality within community
- Rufus M. Brown Hall is now in its second year
